We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with strong development skills in Java and Python, and a background in the airline or retail industry. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native applications using AWS, with a strong emphasis on microservices, containerization, and modern development practices.

• Collaborate with the technical teams, business teams, and product managers to ensure that the code that is developed meets their vision.
• Align to Security/Compliance frameworks and controls requirements.
• Design and develop microservices using Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Graph
  
  QL to meet functional and technical requirements.
• Write clean, testable code in Java and Python, with unit testing using JUnit.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline.
• Use Maven or Gradle for build automation and dependency management.
• Architect and implementize, using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes, and cloud native applications.

• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, with 8+ years of relevant technical experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems with 2+ years of technical experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
• Experience with JUnit for unit testing and Graph
  
  QL for API development.
• Proficiency with Maven or Gradle for build and dependency management.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and API design.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS container services.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services: EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, Dynamo
  
  DB, Cloud Watch, IAM, VPC, etc.

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
• Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, SNS/SQS).
• Familiarity with serverless computing and edge services (e.g., AWS Lambda@Edge, Cloud Front).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and Dev Ops culture.
• Experience in the airline or retail industry, with domain‑specific knowledge.
