Delta Air Lines is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Crew Digital IT team, a pivotal part of Delta’s operations. This role offers the opportunity to enhance operational efficiency and deliver impactful solutions for our crew‑facing technologies.
Responsibilities- Lead development and provide production support for critical enterprise applications.
- Serve as Tech Lead for a cross‑functional squad, coordinating with onsite and offshore teams.
- Maintain and support Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems, ensuring reliable device enrollment, policy enforcement, and lifecycle management for crew member mobile devices and mobile applications.
- Accurately estimate deliverable timelines and manage sprint commitments.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with product team members, leadership, and business partners to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
- 5+ years of hands‑on development experience using SQL, PL/SQL, J2EE, Spring, JavaScript, HTML5, Angular, REST APIs, and Oracle; experience with No
SQL is a plus. - Proven experience as a technical lead, guiding development teams and ensuring code quality.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS Cloud technologies and MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, Workspace ONE, Jamf).
- Familiarity with design thinking, test‑driven development, and embedded security practices.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Open Shift), CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions), and Dev Ops tooling (Sonar Qube, Nexus).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for high‑priority issues and outages.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and drive alignment toward shared goals.

- Hands‑on experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS, and Dev Ops pipeline setup.
- AWS Certification is a plus.
- Experience developing software solutions within the airline industry is a plus.
- Background in Dev Ops and automation, including code testing, building, and deployment.
