Overview
We are seeking skilled, detail-oriented Low Voltage Technicians to join our nationwide rollout team. Technicians will work in 2-person teams to complete structured cabling installations, operate lifts, document work, and ensure high-quality craftsmanship at every site. Candidates must be reliable, organized, and capable of meeting nightly project goals while overcoming on-site challenges.
Responsibilities- Perform structured cabling installations and upgrades including Cat5/6 cable run and termination.
- Install and configure commercial-grade CCTV, access control hardware (card readers, electric strikes, control panels), wireless access points, and network infrastructure.
- Operate scissor lifts and boom lifts safely and efficiently for elevated installations.
- Use hand and power tools such as drills, cable testers, crimping tools, and other required tools.
- Interpret basic construction drawings and cable layouts.
- Ensure job site safety protocols including PPE usage and fall protection.
- Coordinate with other trades and supervisors, maintaining strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Travel nationwide on a “road warrior” schedule, with assignments lasting 2–3 months, and may extend based on project needs and performance.
- Proficient in running and terminating Cat5 and Cat6 network cables in commercial environments.
- Experience with commercial-grade CCTV installation, mounting cameras, running video/data cables, and connecting to recording systems.
- Familiarity with installing access control hardware such as card readers, electric strikes, and control panels.
- Ability to install and configure wireless access points for optimal coverage.
- Experience or certification in operating scissor lifts and boom lifts.
- Competence in using drills, cable testers, and crimping tools.
- Ability to interpret basic construction drawings and cable layouts.
- Knowledge of job site safety protocols, PPE usage, and fall protection.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Intermediate-level experience required.
- Must be available to travel full‑time; initial orientation in NW Arkansas, with company-provided hotel for the first night.
- Travel days require driving a company vehicle and adhering to assigned routes.
- Hourly rate $19.00–$21.00/hr plus overtime.
- Tax‑free daily per diem of $125 (breakdown: $80 lodging, $45 meals, with an additional $80 hotel booking fee if using client services).
- Weekly pay check with per diem included.
