• 1–2 years of experience as a fire extinguisher or range hood technician.
• Knowledge of fire protection regulations, NFPA standards, building and safety codes.
• Experience with fire extinguisher and pre‑engineered fire protection systems, including range hood systems.
• Ability to enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Reliable transportation and a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Desirable (but not required): current license from AFPLB for portable extinguishers and fixed systems.

• Inspect, test, service, and install portable fire extinguishers, kitchen suppression systems, emergency lighting, exit lights, range hoods and other fire safety equipment in compliance with applicable codes.
• Maintain proper risk management and safety procedures on all job sites according to VSC policies.
