Overview
Transdev at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA is seeking a C-Level Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and longevity of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
- Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
- Other duties as required.
- Must be ASE certified; ASE certification program provided. Mechanic’s Tool Set required.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis.
- Salary: $22.00 per hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale).
- Vacation: up to 14 days after accruals.
- PTO days.
- Medical, dental & vision after 30 calendar days of employment for full-time employees; life insurance.
- Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.
- Company-paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement.

Physical RequirementsThe essential functions require the ability to:
- Work outside in varying temperatures and weather conditions; 100% of the job is outside, often in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods; frequently walk long distances and on sloped, slippery, or uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds; lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance; crouch, bend, or kneel to reach equipment.
- Withstand exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise in heavy traffic areas.
