Master Mechanic

Overview

Master Technician at Transdev in Atlanta, GA. This role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will help ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity for diesel-powered assets.

Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

• $35.09 - $37.96 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)

• Vacation: up to 14 days per year

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues
• Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components to ensure optimal functionality
• Assist Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks to contribute to efficient workflow
• Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for all engines
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on all engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians

• 5 years of experience as an Auto Mechanic
• ASE certifications required and must be maintained throughout employment
• Mechanic’s Tool Set
• Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana

• Work outside in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity; 100% of work is outside; work solo and in remote locations
• Sit for extended periods; frequently walk long distances on possible sloped ground or uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects; lift up to 50 lbs; may bend, kneel, or crouch to reach equipment
• Withstand exposure to traffic, dust, vehicle fumes and noise
