Overview
Master Technician at Transdev in Atlanta, GA. This role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will help ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity for diesel-powered assets.
Position TypeSubject to Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Compensation- $35.09 - $37.96 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
- Vacation: up to 14 days per year

- Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement

- Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues
- Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components to ensure optimal functionality
- Assist Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks to contribute to efficient workflow
- Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance
- Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for all engines
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on all engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians
- 5 years of experience as an Auto Mechanic
- ASE certifications required and must be maintained throughout employment
- Mechanic’s Tool Set
- Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana
- Work outside in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity; 100% of work is outside; work solo and in remote locations
- Sit for extended periods; frequently walk long distances on possible sloped ground or uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects; lift up to 50 lbs; may bend, kneel, or crouch to reach equipment
- Withstand exposure to traffic, dust, vehicle fumes and noise
