Access Control Technician

Location: South Georgia (Flexible: Atlanta to Greenville, SC)

Salary Range: $28-$38/hr

Our established security systems integrator is expanding our coverage in the Southeast region. We are seeking highly versatile Access Control Technicians to support installations across South Georgia and the Western Carolinas. The ideal candidate is a proactive generalist with a strong background in cabling infrastructure and experience across physical security (Access Control/CCTV), Audiovisual (A/V), and/or classroom technology systems.

We are actively recruiting candidates located in key areas of interest, including: Coweta County, Douglasville, Athens, Dahlonega, Lawrenceville, and the Atlanta to Greenville, SC corridor.

• Installation:
  Execute installation, termination, and testing of low-voltage cabling infrastructure (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber optics) for commercial environments.
• System Integration:
  Install and configure devices related to Physical Security (Access Control/CCTV), A/V systems, and specialized classroom technology solutions.
• Troubleshooting:
  Perform effective fault finding and remediation for network connectivity issues, hardware conflicts, and system performance problems.
• Documentation:
  Complete accurate daily reports, red-line drawings, and configuration checklists.
• Teamwork:
  Collaborate effectively with project managers, lead technicians, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Safety:
  Adhere to all safety protocols and relevant industry standards (e.g., BICSI, NEC).

• Experience:
  
  3+ years of experience in low-voltage installation, structured cabling, or systems integration (security, A/V, or IT).
• Core
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong practical experience in cabling installation and termination is a baseline requirement.
• Preferred Skills (Any Combination Helpful):
• Experience with Physical Security (Phy Sec) platforms (e.g., Avigilon, Paxton, Milestone).
• Experience installing and configuring Audiovisual (A/V) systems or classroom technology.
• Technical Knowledge:
  Foundational understanding of IP networking principles.
• Logistics:
  Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel daily within the regional service area.

• Field-Based:
  Primarily based at various client sites across the region (Atlanta to Greenville corridor).
