Concrete Cutter Saw Technician

Position Summary

Working craft position. Duties include concrete cutting, operating equipment, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Operate gas, propane, and electric diesel floor saws.
  • Operate soff-cut saw, wall saw, chain saw, hand saw, core drill, and wire saw.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Maintain saws, equipment, and work environments.
  • Demolition.
  • Epoxy application.
  • Perform all work in accordance with industry standard safety policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to work on weekends and travel as required.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience

2 to 3 years of related experience or training.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; tackle problems involving multiple concrete variables.

Additional Qualifications

This position requires completion of:

  • Current Driver's License, DOT Certification, OSHA 10 (Preferred), Forklift Certification.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. Frequently required to climb or balance. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Environment includes wet or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather; risk of electric shock and vibration. Frequent exposure to high, precarious places; occasional extreme cold or heat; noise usually loud.
