Job Responsibilities- Perform utility surveys using designating equipment.
- Prepare complete and accurate utility sketches for office use.
- Conduct field investigations to identify all utilities located within the survey area.
- Work efficiently and accurately as part of a field crew; interface with office staff to convey information and assist with quality control.
- Document all locating procedures and results.
- Meet specified schedules and budgets.
- Work 40–50 hours per week and travel as necessary; work in adverse weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs with help of a coworker; stoop, bend and stand throughout a 12‑hour day in varying terrain.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ambitious and willing to learn.
- 4 years SUE experience minimum; strong understanding of ASCE 38‑22.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to hand multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Positive communication with peers and clients.
- Work overtime and travel.
- Work in adverse weather conditions, in outdoor environments.
- Lift 50 lbs, stoop, bend and stand throughout a 12‑hour workday.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with company safety policies.
- NULCA certification encouraged.
- Ability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time.
- Positive attitude toward teamwork.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to travel week to week or occasionally for longer durations, approximately 50%.
