Banking Service Technician

Convergint is looking for a full‑time, enthusiastic, results‑driven and forward‑thinking Banking Service Technician to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on banking equipment—including alarm systems, CCTV, pneumatic drive‑ups, ATMs, vaults, safe deposit boxes, and related systems. • The Banking Specialist is expected to be skilled in at least one of the three areas of specialization: locksmith, drive‑up, and electronic. Install equipment and support existing customers by responding to service calls.
• Firewall specialists handle a variety of locking mechanisms from basic drawer locks to vaults, secure keyways, and other unique banking systems.
• Electronic specialists provide support for electrical and electronics projects.
• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of non‑routine systems for drive‑up, locksmith and electronic projects.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces all components of remote audio and video equipment; may install, configure, and support network systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance as needed and mentors less experienced staff.
• Handles moderately complex installations for remote units such as alert systems.
• Responds to customer service calls, scheduled maintenance, and after‑hours service on a timely basis.
• Identifies potential project challenges and communicates them to appropriate parties.
• Inspects completed work for conformance with specifications and compliance with manufacturer requirements.
• Estimates cost, time, and materials for replacement equipment.
• Cleans, maintains, adjusts, calibrates, and services equipment.
• Executes all work in accordance with state and local regulations, best practices, and company health and safety policies.
• Acts as the customer’s best service provider and ensures Convergint is the first choice for service.
• Communicates with team members to improve overall operations and advises management on product performance.
• Keeps up to date on company policies and presents a professional image.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

• Working knowledge of drive‑up, locking and electronic systems specific to the banking industry.
• Basic knowledge of Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) connected to the remote system.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong customer focus and communication skills.
• Adaptability – responds effectively to changes in situation or information.

• Education:
  
  High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Preferred experience (not required):
  Technical diploma and/or trade experience (e.g., electrician).
• 1 year of previous banking specialist experience within a commercial, industrial, or facilities operation setting.
• Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.
