Position Summary

An Electrical Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing, and scheduling crews to complete assigned work orders, including assigning tasks, ensuring high‑quality installation, and performing quality inspections. The foreman monitors task completion, compliance, and prevents safety issues.

Responsibilities
  • Productivity Planning for assigned scope of work
  • Material Phasing: organize material by specific areas/floors and track inventories
  • Tools & Equipment: identify all tools and equipment required to support each crew, manage tool inspection and signing sheets
  • Information Packages: ensure each crew activity has corresponding information packages (contract drawings, shop drawings, panel schedules, cut sheets, etc.)
  • Control of breaks: maintain accurate records of personal breaks (smoking, conversation, etc.)
  • Daily hour/unit reports: submit hours/units daily for each employee assigned to the foreman per standard time sheet
  • Quality Control inspections: follow established QC plan & checklists
  • Professional installation: responsible for installing work in a professional manner and high‑quality standard
  • As‑built drawing maintenance: update and log as‑built drawings onto master record contract drawings at least once a week
  • Day‑end tool & equipment inventory: inventory or inspection sheets turned in every Monday
  • Lost/Stolen/Damage tool report
  • All AHA’s related to foreman’s scope of work must be reviewed, signed by each crew member and stored at their gang box
  • Support Equipment Inspection: submit daily inspection sheets for all equipment assigned to foreman once a week
  • Accident/Incident Reporting & Investigation: follow established procedures, submit all reports within 24 hours
  • Clean Up: foreman and crew leader responsible for clean up related to their scope of work, leaving areas broom‑swept at day end
Quality of Work Completed
  • Ensure installation meets/exceeds codes, contractual obligations, best practices and other requirements mandated by Corporate Quality Policy
  • Review and implement Project Quality Plan; document deviations and communicate to site Q.C. representative before proceeding
  • Participate in Site Q.C. representative implementation of 3‑Phase Quality Control (Preparatory, Initial & Follow‑up for each DFOW under crew leader’s responsibility)
  • Properly document and return CQC checklists to site Q.C. representative to facilitate adherence to QAQC schedule
  • Initiate various discrepancy notices to document and communicate issues for resolution
  • Review weekly installation quality scorecards and provide feedback for root‑cause, corrective and preventive action
  • Address daily Q.C. report issues with crew to mitigate nonconformities
  • Ensure discrepant installation tags are timely resolved
  • Participate in QAQC design review of engineering & coordination drawings to identify constructability issues
  • Provide feedback on Quality portion of daily ORM work briefing
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in the electrical industry with a High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience with an Associate degree
