As an Intern, Information Security you will actively engage in high‑impact projects that safeguard Tri Net's systems and processes. You will support critical functions that protect Tri Net's assets and client data.

• Cyber Defense Support:
  Assist the Cyber Defense team with monitoring, triaging, and responding to alerts from security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management systems).
• Vulnerability Remediation:
  Help track and document the lifecycle of identified vulnerabilities, collaborating with infrastructure teams to ensure timely remediation.
• Threat Intelligence:
  Conduct research on emerging cyber threats, security technologies, understand adversary tactics, and produce actionable intelligence.
• Risk Assessment Documentation:
  Support the creation and review of documentation related to technology risk assessments and internal security control testing.
• Access Management:
  Support the maintenance and auditing of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, ensuring adherence to the principle of least privilege.

• Junior or Senior undergrad or graduate students
• Minimum 3.0 GPA

• A proactive team player who can work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous internship/work experience preferred
• Academic leadership or extra‑curricular activity involvement preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S

• Foundational understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and fundamental security principles.
• Familiarity with data analysis and basic SQL querying.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Power Shell) for automation or analysis preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud security models (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Microsoft Excel skills required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
