Security Supervisor will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, staff, and property. Oversee daily security operations, supervise security personnel, and coordinate emergency response efforts. Leadership and expertise will contribute to maintaining a secure environment, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
Experience- 5 years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, safety or EMS in a supervisory capacity
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in healthcare setting
- Experience with the use of less than-lethal weapons
- High school diploma or equivalent
- FEMA ICS 100 course completion within 3 months of employment or upon internal transfer
- MASADA defensive tactical training within 9 months of employment
- Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record
- Heartsaver or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 3 months of employment
- International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Supervisor certification within 12 months of employment
- Marcus Crisis Prevention Program (MCPP) Tier 5, or equivalent, within 6 months of employment
- Taser certification with AXON within 9 months of employment
- Ability to drive and operate Children’s vehicles
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to supervise, coach, train and mentor security team
- Ability to apply sound judgment and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and the use of a personal computer
- Responsible for operating and driving Children’s vehicles throughout the organization as needed and to specified vendors or sites based on operational needs.
- Oversee and manage daily security operations, providing direction and support to security staff.
- Conduct shift briefings, assign tasks, and ensure effective coverage of security posts.
- Mentor, train, and evaluate security officers, fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence.
- Aid security leadership in ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
- Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records of security activities, incidents, and investigations.
- Participate in security audits, risk assessments, and drills.
- Work closely with department leaders to identify and address security needs.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security incidents.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Implement and manage emergency protocols, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Oversee security patrol routines of campuses to detect, deter, suspicious behaviors.
- Utilize security technology to conduct investigations into security incidents and performance as necessary.
- Inform security management on security issues and needs to change security posture.
- Run/walk 1320 feet (1 lap around track equivalent) in 4 minutes
- Pick up 50lb from squat position
- Push/pull 100lbs for 60 feet
- Climb 8 flights (4 floors) of stairs while carrying a fire extinguisher in 90 seconds
- Kneel/squat for 30 seconds consecutively
