Shift Supervisor - Sergeant (Chenega Security SBU)

Location:

East Atlanta, GA.

The Shift Supervisor/Sergeant’s primary duty is to assist the Senior Shift Supervisor to ensure that contractual obligations are met. The SS/Sgt is responsible for exercising leadership, maintaining high morale, and directing & inspecting the performance of all security personnel assigned to the shift. This includes scheduling shift work distribution and training, answering SO questions related to work, and solving shift problems with minimum supervision.

The SS/Sgt may be armed with a side arm, shotgun, or other weapons as required.

The hourly compensation for this position is $26.05.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe manner.
  • Arrive at work in proper uniform and carrying needed, issued equipment.
  • Participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned post, and copy any extra instructions.
  • Carry out general and special orders for post assigned.
  • Communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders.
  • Interact and escort as required with public and government personnel.
  • Provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned.
  • Follow applicable SOPs and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment.
  • Manage staffing of posts during the shift to ensure complete coverage, including holidays, vacation, illness, and call‑offs.
  • Promptly notify the Deputy Project Manager/Project Manager of all unusual or emergency situations according to Post Orders and company policy.
  • Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection.
  • Work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.
  • Supervisory responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, and apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material.
  • Be able to meet all Federal, State, or Municipal requirements to work as a Security Guard.
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check (DOJ Security Risk Assessment) and the National Agency Investigations Check (NACI) before assignment.
  • Have or be able to obtain current State armed Security Officer Registration.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Supervisory experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
  • Successfully complete all training and obtain all required permits, licenses, certifications, and security clearances for the site.
