Need a GA-24 Security Certification? $250 bonus available after 90 days of employment for candidates earning their GA‑24 Security Guard Training Class/Certification with Sunstates Security at the time of hire.

• 90‑day period starts at date of hire and employee must remain in active status for the full 90 days to be eligible for bonus payout

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Professional appearance.
• Security, military or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, etc.).

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). He/she will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

The scheduling parameters and expectations for a Flex Officer differ from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. A Flex Officer will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment. Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.)

will vary based on operational need and you will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available. Some shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule; sometimes you will be called with short notice to cover a shift. You are expected to work any shift you are scheduled in advance that falls within the availability described on this sheet.

If you know you will be unavailable on an upcoming date or time that would normally fall within your availability, you must communicate this with your supervisor, so they know not to schedule you. For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company.
