Zero Waste Sorter

Shift Availability: 10 PM to 6 AM (hours vary based on events)

BASIC FUNCTION

Pritchard Sports & Entertainment Group is seeking to hire a Zero Waste Sorter. As the Zero‑Waste Squad Sorter you are responsible for collecting, sorting, and disposing of waste generated in the State Farm Arena. The Arena is a zero‑waste venue, and the Zero‑Waste Squad Sorter is responsible for ensuring this. We need Sorters that are in alignment with the Arena’s zero‑waste vision.

• Hand‑sort waste
• Separate items into their various streams: landfill, compostable (food/drink, food packaging, cutlery, etc.), bottles and cans, cardboard, mixed paper, glass, and so on
• New hires will learn the process during training
• The sorting team must open every item within every trash bag before separating waste items into the various streams
• Each shift is responsible for completing a mandatory checklist before team members leave. The shift duration depends on sorting effectiveness/efficiency and event attendance

• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment (up to 200 lbs.)
• Hand‑sort waste
• Ability to work a non‑standard schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Punctual and reliable communicator
• Positive attitude and consistent motivation to work
• Keep contamination rates low
• Take direction from Hawks, Pritchard, and Levy employees
• Work well with all departments
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) encouraged
