Department InformationThe School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Georgia Institute of Technology has vibrant undergraduate and graduate programs, with over 400 undergraduate majors and 170 graduate students, and an extensive research portfolio. Job SummaryThis position conducts research in polymer and materials science for two goals: (1) the development of functional nanoparticles for the delivery of molecular cargo to multiple tissues, and (2) the development of materials for the selective eradication of pathogenic bacteria. This position will also provide in‑lab guidance to less experienced members of the laboratory.
Responsibilities- A Master’s degree and three (3) years of relevant full‑time experience after completion of that degree
- A Master’s degree and five (5) years of relevant full‑time experience after completion of a Bachelor’s degree
- A Doctoral degree
Demonstrated competence in methods of synthetic small‑molecule and materials chemistry, knowledge of the literature in this field.
