CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Scientist II to join our Power & Manufacturing - Environmental Team at our Atlanta, GA or Duluth, GA office.

What You'll Do

CHA's engineers, ecologists and scientists partner with clients to develop practical solutions that balance environmental sustainability, community needs and cost. We provide environmental services from initial site characterization through remediation, drawing on decades of experience in environmental site assessment, brownfield remediation, and mitigation techniques.

The Environmental Scientist II is an expert with the company’s and client’s methods, procedures, reporting templates, and practices. They will conduct field work and prepare information for managers, colleagues, and clients. In the office, they will work on data analysis, reporting, and permit completion. They also participate in assessments, design concepts or components, and perform comparative cost analyses. They evaluate the potential impact of federal, state and local environmental regulations and prepare information for public information meetings and hearings.

They will collect samples, provide drilling oversight, and assist with construction operations. They collect, analyze, and report on geological, hydrological, biological, or other scientific conditions at proposed project sites to identify environmental impacts.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Valid US driver's license is required
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience required
  • EPA-accredited asbestos building inspector certification required
  • Demonstrates an interest in continued learning of the respective scientific discipline
  • Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel is required
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is a plus
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment
  • Must have the ability to work in the field in different weather conditions
  • Must be able to physically navigate in the field
  • EPA-accredited asbestos project designer certification a plus
  • EPA Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor a plus
Salary Range

$62,000 - $70,500

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
