PositionSummary
Georg North America with operations in Roanoke, VA and Alpharetta, GA is the subsidiary for sales, service, and engineering for the entire GEORG product line in Canada, USA and Mexico.
We are looking to hire a Sales Manager in charge of expanding our customer base in North America with focus on Coil Processing Lines.
- Establish strong communication with our customers to build a sustainable sales and service network in North America
- Identification and acquisition of new customers
- Secure new orders through existing and new sales measures such as customer visits, trade shows, presentations, mailings, etc.
- Preparation of customer specific proposals in close cooperation with the relevant headquarter departments in Kreuztal, Germany
- Presentation of products, technologies and offers to customers
- Consultancy for strategic projects of potential customers
- Development and implementation of customer loyalty measures
- Close exchange of regional experiences with product management, design department and development department in Kreuztal, Germany
- Presentation of new ideas for market-oriented sales and product concept to the division management
- 10+ years experience in the metals industry, preferably with mills, service centers or OEMs
- Experience with project sales, management or execution within the metals industry
- Established contacts to various coil processing OEMs or metal service centers in North America desirable
- Experience in preparing, processing and presenting quotations to customers
- Experience in technical and commercial customer consulting
- Fluent in English, proficiency in Spanish, German or other foreign languages desirable but not mandatory
- Strong ability to familiarize with various customer situations and complex technical issues and to develop customer-oriented solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills with a confident and approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Committed to teamwork and contributing to a positive team dynamic
- Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail
- High level of commitment, flexibility and mobility (willingness to travel >70%)
