The Business Development Specialist
- Heavy Equipment Subject Matter Expert is responsible for finding, building, and growing relationships with new and current customers in the Florida, Georgia, and Alabama region. They will develop strategies based on market trends, competitors, and consumer behaviors to ensure continued growth within the company. Their expertise and industry experience will be used to train and educate consumers as well as their peers within the company.
- Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
- Initiate telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services.
- Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the return on investment for the territory/segment.
- Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
- Educates customers and co-workers about the industry and our products.
- Ensure safety daily.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- 5+ Years in the Construction/Heavy Equipment Industry Required
- Extensive knowledge of Rubber Tracks, Rubber Track Pads, & Ground Engaging Tools
- Required - 1-3 Year of Sales Experience Preferred
- Employs sales consulting methods as provided by Company through various training channels and daily use of this methodology.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; repetitive consultative sales approach.
- Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within team environment.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
- Valid driver’s license.
