Overview
We are supporting a well-established, growth-oriented organization in the industrial distribution space that is hiring an experienced Outside Sales Account Manager. This is a field-based role focused on building long-term customer relationships, growing territory revenue, and providing consultative, solutions-driven sales support.
This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys being on the road, working directly with customers, understanding their applications, and helping improve productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities- Manage and grow your region through regular customer visits and relationship building
- Develop new business and work to increase sales from active accounts
- Act as a consultative partner by understanding customer needs and recommending solutions
- Prepare quotes and proposals, negotiate terms, and close new and repeat business
- Increase sales and margin through upselling, improved product mix, and reduced returns
- Stay informed on market conditions, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Participate in ongoing product and sales training to continuously improve effectiveness
We are open to candidates coming from a range of adjacent industrial sales environments, including:
- Industrial distribution or technical product sales
- Blasting, abrasives, or related consumables
- PPE or safety-focused product sales
- Construction, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or MRO environments
- 3 to 5 years of outside, field-based sales experience
- Comfortable selling technical or mechanical products into industrial environments
- Strong relationship builder with a consultative sales mindset
- Organized, self-directed, and effective at managing a large territory
- Professional, high-integrity approach to customers and internal teams
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the territory
- Regional-based role in the Atlanta area, with the ability to expand into the broader Southeast
