Position Summary- Targets and maintains extensive contact with individuals, businesses, and centers of influence within the metro Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina areas; maintains contact with customers and the community; plans proactive visits to prospective customers; aggressively competes for loans, deposits, and other banking relationships; establishes effective and lasting business relationships; responds quickly to referrals; evaluates creditworthiness of prospective customers ahead of underwriting.
- Achieves all established goals, including funded commercial loan goals, portfolio growth goals, deposit growth goals, fee goals, and other bank product objectives while increasing customer satisfaction.
- Attends, participates in, promotes, and represents the bank at business, professional, and community events, meetings, organizations, associations, programs, functions, and activities to support and broaden company image and visibility; serves on professional committees, boards, CRA activities, and community organizations.
- Analyzes, reviews, and structures new loan requests, including complex loans across various types and industries; maintains knowledge of the credit approval process and compiles necessary financial documents for underwriting.
- Manages all aspects of relationships to ensure maximum profitability and credit quality, including cross‑sell, renewal, and problem‑loan opportunities.
- Works closely with internal bank associates and departments to achieve overall production goals.
- Maintains a sound working knowledge of all products, services, and solutions offered by the bank, its subsidiaries, third‑party vendors, and competitors; stays abreast of banking trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Demonstrates commitment to excellence; provides superior customer service to internal and external customers, vendors, and prospects; promptly responds to voicemail, e‑mail, referrals, requests, and complaints.
- Regularly reviews workflow to ensure excellent customer service; adheres to department response turnaround standards; promotes a positive attitude and team approach.
- Develops and executes business development and strategic plans to meet production and sales goals; assists with marketing, public relations, and related functions.
- Maintains an updated pipeline report, call report, and prospect database weekly.
- Conducts research and assists with developing, reviewing, and recommending new banking products, services, and solutions.
- Informs the manager promptly of problems, issues, or concerns that may jeopardize objectives or are not being addressed adequately.
- Assists in developing, evaluating, and updating business development and sales manuals, policies, procedures, guidelines, standards, and methods.
- Protects customers’ information and interests; complies with all legal requirements, regulations, and bank policies.
- Proactively utilizes the bank’s customer relationship system, tools, and programs to meet goals and objectives.
- Regularly attends Officer Loan Committee, Director Loan Committee, Deal Flow, Sales, and other meetings as requested.
- Maintains a consistent professional appearance, image, behavior, speech, and ethics; represents the CTB Brand.
