The Sales Consultant is responsible for driving distribution, visibility, and velocity of North Canna THC beverages within an assigned territory. This role blends consultative selling, account development, merchandising execution, brand education, and distributor collaboration in a fast-growing regulated category. The Sales Consultant is expected to actively grow the business, build strong retail and distributor relationships, influence execution through distributor partners, and perform at a high level in both independent and chain accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SALES AND GROWTH
  • Independently manage assigned territory with minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new authorized retail and on-premise accounts.
  • Sell in new authorized accounts and expand distribution within existing accounts.
  • Achieve and maintain distribution of all authorized SKUs by account type.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for displays, features, menu placements, and promotions.
  • Plan and execute effective buy-ins around promotions and seasonal opportunities.
  • Partner with retailer management to grow category awareness and sales performance.
  • Track results and adjust strategies to improve velocity and execution.
MERCHANDISING AND EXECUTION
  • Maintain planogram compliance and shelf integrity.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, shelf tags, signage, and promotional materials.
  • Build and maintain eye-catching displays where permitted.
  • Rotate product properly and adhere to freshness and quality standards.
  • Submit required execution photos and activity tracking.
EDUCATION AND COMPLIANCE
  • Compliance and responsible selling take priority over sales volume, incentives, or execution goals.
  • Educate retailers and staff on North Canna products, dosage, effects, and responsible consumption.
  • Ensure all activity complies with federal, state, and local laws related to hemp-derived THC beverages.
  • Communicate regulatory updates, product changes, and best practices to accounts.
  • Always represent the brand professionally and responsibly.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION
  • Maintain strong working relationships with account decision-makers.
  • Communicate new products, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
  • Keep route information, account data, and product listings up to date.
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and company events.
DISTRIBUTOR RELATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Influence distributor execution without direct authority through education, ride-withs, and relationship management.
  • Work closely with distributor sales teams to drive distribution, displays, and feature execution.
  • Conduct ride-withs and joint calls to support selling, education, and execution priorities.
  • Communicate product updates, promotions, and selling priorities to distributor partners.
  • Coordinate inventory and ordering to support promotions and minimize out-of-stocks.
  • Identify and communicate execution gaps to distributor partners and internal leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1–3 years of THC sales, route sales, beverage, CPG, or retail account experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a territory.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused.
  • Ability to learn and communicate product information clearly.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older due to regulatory requirements related to THC beverage sales.
EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework or degree preferred but not required.
INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY
  • Requires sound judgment, self-direction, and the ability to prioritize activities in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
  • Ability to lift and move products, build displays, and merchandise shelves.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
