Job Summary

The Sales Representative will drive preference through sales of our products to our strong customer base. In addition, this person will be responsible for developing and nurturing customer relationships that drive sales in the assigned territory, as well as partner in the support of projects which involve multiple territories.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Provide sales opportunities by calling on various buying influences in the defined territory and meet sales goals and quotas set by sales management.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with buying influences to support the value proposition and maximize sales opportunities and profitability.
  • Utilize toolsets provided by the company and external sources to search for potential sales opportunities, provide support for pricing, and develop pricing for the sales of our products and services.
  • Interact with other Acuity Direct Sales Representatives throughout our organization to support sales in opportunities involving multiple territories and National Accounts.
  • Utilize ABS tools to increase sales rep effectiveness and improve sales results.
  • Provide post‑sales support which may involve resolution of product deficiencies and/or delivery of material by third party partners.
  • Represent the company positively in industry events and groups, participating actively in groups that support the growth of our products and services.
  • Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Sales Force to analyze business data, report effectively, and collaborate within a matrix organization.
  • Lift product samples up to 40 lb as required.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of lighting and lighting controls design and application is preferred.
  • Understanding of the heavy industrial and manufacturing applications market is preferred.
  • Overnight travel required; travel percentage based on geographic needs.

Travel Requirements

The range for this position is $73,400.00 to $. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location. Acuity offers generous benefits including health care, dental coverage, vision plans, 401K benefits, and commissions/incentive compensation depending on the role.
