Overview
This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.
AWS is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Specialist to help us establish AWS as the market leader for Amazon Connect - Amazon’s Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS). This service is part of the growing SaaS offerings from AWS and aims to address customer pain points related to multi-vendor environments, pricing complexity, and scalable deployments. The ideal candidate will have enterprise sales experience in telecommunications, VoIP, CRM/ERP applications, call/contact center, and/or the integration of these complex solutions, be a self-starter, and be willing to operate both tactically and strategically.
Responsibilities- Drive revenue and market share for AWS.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Develop and execute against a sales plan.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Work with partners and OEMs to extend reach and drive adoption of AWS solutions.
- Manage contract negotiations along with the core sales organization.
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
- 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives.
- 7+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience.
- 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience (preferred).
- Experience developing detailed go-to-market plans (preferred).

About the TeamThe Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS). We drive revenue, adoption, and growth from large accounts to enterprise-level customers, working to turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture, and you will provide expertise across the entire life cycle of a customer initiative.
Additional InformationOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Base pay ranges from $153,000/year to $252,900/year, with potential equity, sign-on, and other benefits as part of a total compensation package. This position will remain posted until filled.
