Position SummaryThe Bartender plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by crafting quality beverages, providing warm and engaged hospitality, and contributing to a positive team environment. The ideal candidate is outgoing, skilled in mixology, attentive in service, and thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑energy setting.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to Gypsy Kitchen’s recipes and standards.
- Provide genuine, friendly, and attentive service at the bar and to service staff.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of the beverage menu, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.
- Engage with guests, offer recommendations, and ensure an enjoyable and safe drinking experience.
- Manage bar inventory, restocking, and organization throughout the shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area in compliance with local health department regulations.
- Process payments accurately and maintain accountability for cash handling.
- Monitor guest consumption and follow all alcohol service guidelines to ensure responsible service.
- Collaborate with teammates and support a strong, positive culture.
- Assist with opening, closing, and shift change procedures.
- Minimum 1–2 years bartending experience in a full‑service, high‑volume restaurant or bar.
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Exceptional guest‑service skills and a hospitality‑driven mindset.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure.
- Must meet local age requirements for alcohol service.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Current alcohol service certification preferred (e.g., Serv Safe Alcohol).
