Voter Access Project Intern (Summer 2026)
Voter Access Project interns will gain valuable experience in policy, research, and community engagement work specific to voting rights and voter access in Georgia. Interns will help with research on Georgia's election laws, challenges faced by Georgia voters, and data around recent elections. They will also analyze policies and draft memos on proposed legislation and existing Georgia laws. Interns may help monitor legislative hearings and other governmental meetings to take detailed notes.
Interns will assist with the Local Election Advocates and Defenders (LEAD) program, by drafting volunteer newsletters, training presentations, and other items.
This position requires in-person work, though there is some flexibility for remote tasks. Applicants should have strong research and writing skills, a high attention to detail, and an interest in civil liberties, a specific interest in voting rights in preferred.
