Our mission is to promote interdisciplinary research in neuroinflammation, which is recognized as a common factor in the development of diseases ranging from hypertension and obesity to Alzheimer’s disease and depression. Faculty from diverse backgrounds collaborate to improve scientific understanding of the mechanisms of neuroinflammation—findings that will have important clinical implications in the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases.
The Center for Neuroinflammation and Cardiometabolic Diseases at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a part-time Lab Assistant (Temp).

What will you do:
This is an important position. We need to support all the sponsored and non-sponsored research activities conducted in the Stern Lab.
Duties and
Responsibilities Include:
- General lab maintenance, preparation of basic solutions, keeping track of chemical inventory, keeping track of animal colonies, and maintenance of cell cultures.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's Degree and one year of related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in lab management, aseptic handling and maintenance of cell cultures, previous experience of working in a neuroscience-related lab.
- Aseptic work with cell cultures, Chematics.
