Job Description
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with strong Apache JMeter skills and mandatory Unemployment Insurance (UI) domain experience for a 100% onsite contract role in Atlanta, GA. The candidate must have hands‑on experience testing state unemployment systems including claims processing, benefits calculation, appeals, and employer tax modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute performance/load test scripts using Apache JMeter
- Conduct load, stress, spike, and endurance testing for web‑based unemployment insurance applications
- Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide tuning recommendations
- Work closely with developers and Dev Ops teams to optimize system performance
- Validate system scalability and reliability for high‑volume claims processing
- Develop detailed performance test plans, reports, and documentation
- Support SIT, UAT, and production performance validation cycles
- Participate in defect triage and root cause analysis
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of QA experience (Performance Testing focused)
- 3+ years of strong hands‑on experience with Apache JMeter
- Mandatory experience in Unemployment Insurance (UI) systems
- Experience with State Workforce Agency or Labor Department projects
- Strong knowledge of claims lifecycle and benefits systems
- API testing experience (REST/SOAP)
- SQL for backend validation
- Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, App Dynamics, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Azure Dev Ops)
