** Overview:*
* We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a short-term contract opportunity in a fast-paced, regulated medical device and pharmaceutical environment. In this role, you will ensure that supplied products meet prescribed quality standards, maintain supplier compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented, analytical, and assertive professional who can manage supplier audits, SCARs, CAPAs, and technical investigations while effectively communicating and collaborating across teams.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Monitor supplier quality systems, including documentation, process results, and compliance with GMP, FDA, and ISO requirements.

+ Schedule, manage, and perform supplier audits, including new supplier qualification, ongoing requalification, and for-cause audits.

+ Evaluate supplier acceptability and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) in alignment with regulatory and procedural standards.

+ Initiate, track, and ensure timely closure of Supplier Corrective Actions (SCARs) and support CAPA investigations.

+ Review and maintain supplier documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and internal SOPs.

+ Participate in investigations of quality issues, providing analysis and trend information to support resolution.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams on supplier change notifications and technical inquiries.

+ Maintain knowledge of FDA 21

CFR
210/211/820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulations; communicate requirements to team members as needed.

+ Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Mentor and lead Quality personnel, promoting a culture of quality and compliance.

+ Other duties as assigned.

* Qualifications:

* + Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline required.

+ 3-7 years of experience in a regulated pharmaceutical or medical device environment.

+ Fluent understanding of FDA and ISO requirements; experience with 21

CFR
210/211/820 and ISO 13485.

+ Strong supplier auditing experience with proven ability to lead and document audits.

+ Proficient in SCARs, CAPA, investigations, and change control processes.

+ Technically literate with the ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.

+ Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and assertive when managing suppliers.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write professional reports and interact effectively with cross-functional teams.

+ Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with MS Access or other QA software a plus.

+ Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

+ Auditing certification preferred.
