Briarcliff Animal Hospital-Kennel Assistant

Overview

VCA Briarcliff is seeking an experienced Full-Time Kennel Assistant (Animal Care Assistant) to work at our AAHA-accredited, 8-doctor practice in Atlanta, Georgia.

Must be a motivated self-starter who is able to take direction and work with minimal supervision. Dependable attendance and transportation is required. Experience in a veterinary or boarding facility is preferred but we will train the right person. A positive attitude, strong attention-to-detail, and the ability to multi-task are a must. We have served the community for over 50 years and are committed to delivering exceptional service and high-quality care to boarded and hospitalized pets.

• Cleaning cages
• Feeding and caring for dogs and cats
• Walking dogs
• Bathing dogs
• Doing laundry
• Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises
• Assisting doctors and technicians when necessary

At least two Sundays per month are mandatory to check on pets in boarding when the hospital is closed.

• Experience in a veterinary or boarding facility is preferred; training provided for the right candidate
