Are you passionate about animals and eager to make a difference in their lives? We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate Part-Time Kennel Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an ideal entry-level opportunity for someone interested in starting or growing a career in animal care and veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities- Feeding & Watering:
Ensure all pets receive their meals and fresh water according to their individual needs. - Cleaning & Sanitizing:
Maintain clean living spaces by cleaning kennels, play areas, and other facilities, following established protocols to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. - Walking & Bathing:
Provide regular walks for pets, and bathe them when necessary, ensuring they stay happy and healthy. - Monitoring Well-being:
Observe pets for any signs of illness or discomfort and report any concerns to the team to ensure the health and safety of our animals. - Customer Interaction:
Interact with pet owners, provide updates, and ensure pets are comfortable and well cared for during their stay. - General Assistance:
Support the team with various tasks as needed, contributing to a smooth and positive experience for both the animals and their owners.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as part of a rotating schedule
- Participation in major holiday rotations (shared equitably among the team)
- Adaptability to changing needs of the practice with a positive, team-first attitude
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Weekend and evening availability is required, including rotating holidays
- Passion for animals and a strong work ethic
- Prior animal care or customer service experience is a plus—but not required! We’re happy to train the right candidate
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and be comfortable working with animals of all sizes
- A collaborative, dependable, and adaptable team player who can work both independently and in a fast-paced team setting
