, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Kennel Assistant to join our growing team. The RoleAs a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our patients while supporting the veterinary team with daily hospital operations. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who enjoy active work and direct interaction with animals.

Key Responsibilities- Feeding & Watering
:
Ensure all pets receive their meals and fresh water according to their individual needs. - Cleaning & Sanitizing
:
Maintain clean living spaces by cleaning kennels, play areas, and other facilities, following established protocols to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. - Walking & Bathing
:
Provide regular walks for pets, and bathe them when necessary, ensuring they stay happy and healthy. - Monitoring Well-being
:
Observe pets for any signs of illness or discomfort and report any concerns to the team to ensure the health and safety of our animals. - Customer Interaction
:
Interact with pet owners, provide updates, and ensure pets are comfortable and well cared for during their stay. - General Assistance
:
Support the team with various tasks as needed, contributing to a smooth and positive experience for both the animals and their owners.
To meet the needs of our patients and support our team, this role requires flexibility
. You must be available to:
- Work evenings and weekends as part of a rotating schedule
- Participate in major holiday rotations (shared equitably among the team)
- Adapt to changing needs of the practice with a positive, team-first attitude
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Weekend and evening availability is required
, including rotating holidays - Passion for animals and a strong work ethic
- Prior animal care or customer service experience is a plus—but not required! We’re happy to train the right candidate
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and be comfortable working with animals of all sizes
- A collaborative, dependable, and adaptable team player who can work both independently and in a fast-paced team setting
