Cardiac Critical Care Nights - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI), located in the heart of Atlanta, is recruiting Critical Care Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners for our Cardiac Critical Care team. The role provides 24‑hour, on‑site coverage for high‑acuity patients, primarily on night shifts, as a full‑time position.

• Become competent in critical procedures and management strategies, including vascular access and line placements, bedside ultrasound, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamics, and complex mechanical circulatory support (ECMO, LVADs).
• Provide specialized care for patients pre‑ and post‑cardiovascular surgery, including heart transplantation, advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, and other complex multi‑organ conditions, as part of a collaborative team.

Minimum Requirements:

• PA:
  Graduate of a Physician Assistant program with a current license for the Georgia State Composite Board.
• NP:
  Graduate from a school of nursing with a current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing.

Preferred Experience: 3‑5 years of experience in the CVICU.
