Job Summary

The Clinical Practice Specialist RN supports and promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization and aligns nursing initiatives to Grady Health System's overall strategy. Directs and coordinates the development and approval of nursing and patient care policies. Facilitates communication channels between patient care departments. Serves as Chapter Coordinator for the Provision of Care section of the Joint Commission Standards.

Coordinates GHS preparation for Shared Governance and specifically the Professional Practice Council and supporting Division Councils. Facilitates direction and administrative support to the Clinical Education Program. Facilitates positive change utilizing principles of change and organizational theory.

Education
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
Licensure & Certifications
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – American Heart Association required.
  • Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC‑OB) and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C‑EFM) or obtained within one year of hire preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical practice improvement, education, or nursing leadership strongly preferred.
