Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment (Atlanta, GA 30342)

PCU Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – Atlanta, GA 30342 | 13-week travel assignment, 12-hour nights; RN with 2+ years PCU/ICU experience, BLS & ACLS.

• Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 — Atlanta nursing jobs, Georgia travel nursing jobs
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1500–$1580 per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Pulmonary Thoracic - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — acute care, step-down nursing
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• End Date: June 27, 2026
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN — On-site

• Minimum 2 years of progressive care, step-down, or ICU experience (PCU RN / ICU RN / Step Down nurse)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to work in Georgia)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – required
• Strong acute care and critical care nursing skills; experience in pulmonary/ thoracic care preferred
• Intermediate to advanced clinical assessment and monitoring skills in a fast-paced PCU environment
• Must not reside within 50 miles of Atlanta, GA 30342 (travel nurse location requirement)

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care as a Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Thoracic PCU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognize clinical changes, and intervene promptly—critical care nursing and step-down experience required
• Administer medications, therapies, and prescribed interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, PT/OT, case management) to develop individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education on disease processes, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) in accordance with hospital policies
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities in a high-acuity setting
