Description:
This role involves working with a patient population of adults to geriatrics.
Nurses will provide care in various settings, including ICU, Med-Surg, PCU, and Telemetry.
The typical nurse-to-patient ratio in the ICU is 1:2-3, while in PCU it is 1:4-5, and Med-Surg it is 1:5-6.
The position requires full compliance to start on time.
If the nurse is unable to meet compliance timelines, there may be a delay.
Travelers are expected to work one or two major holidays if they fall within the assignment period.
Holiday assignments include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
The role includes responsibilities such as managing ventilators, administering medications, and handling complex patient situations.
It is essential to have skills in infection prevention, isolation precautions, and monitoring vital signs.
Candidates must submit core items and complete necessary labs within a tight timeframe.
The work environment is dynamic, with interdisciplinary support available from various teams.
The role includes potential floating between units, requiring adaptability and strong clinical skills.
Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Two supervisory references may be required prior to submission.
Nurses must be available for on-call shifts as needed.
