Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring a GA or compact RN license and strong CVOR experience.

Job Details

• Work in the CVOR within a hospital operating room setting,

• Perform cardiac and vascular procedures including endovascular cases,

• Shifts include a mix of weekdays (5-11 and 11p-7a) and weekends/holidays (7a-7p/7p-7a),

• Expectation to work one Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday shift per schedule, not necessarily consecutive,

• Holiday rotation is required, including weekends surrounding holidays,

• No on-call responsibilities,

Job Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required,

• At least 18 months full-time CVOR experience within the last 3 years in a setting of similar acuity,

• Strong experience with all cardiac and vascular procedures, including endovascular cases,

• Minimum 2 years overall nursing experience, travel experience preferred,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no locals allowed),

• Former Emory and Houston permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year, and for 18 months if returning to the same facility,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for complex cardiac and vascular surgeries,

• Must adhere to strict rules regarding requested time off: a maximum of 5 days unless close to holidays, in which case 3 days is the limit,

• Only one holiday time off request is allowed; several days of RTO during holiday periods will not be approved,

• Dress code and scrub requirements to be provided upon assignment,

• Candidates with strong endovascular experience are preferred,
