Clinical Coordinator, Colorectal Cancer Program

Overview

Clinical Coordinator, Colorectal Cancer Program at Northside Hospital. Leadership role that provides oversight and care coordination for the Colorectal Cancer Program and supports Northside Hospital's compliance with the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) standards. Responsibilities include serving in the NAPRC Rectal Cancer Program Coordinator role, facilitating patients diagnosed with rectal cancer in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring access to high-quality care throughout the continuum.

Works collaboratively with the Colorectal Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, including colorectal surgeon(s), medical oncologist(s), radiation oncologist(s), pathologist(s), radiologist(s), surgical services leadership, service line coordinators, rectal cancer / GI cancer clinicians, and MDC Conference team. Provides support to Colorectal Cancer Program physicians including the NAPRC Program Director(s) for data collection, evaluation of program outcomes, and development of corrective actions as indicated.

• Coordinate, lead, and support the Colorectal Cancer Program in alignment with NAPRC standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate care for patients diagnosed with rectal cancer.
• Assist in data collection and evaluation of program outcomes.
• Develop and implement corrective actions as indicated to improve program quality and compliance.
• Provide administrative support to program physicians and leadership.
• Communicate effectively with staff, management, physicians, and other healthcare providers to maintain coordinated care.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
• Three years of recent oncology nursing experience
• Strong administrative management supervisory experience with the ability to plan, organize, direct, and control activities within or across hospital services
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, physicians, and other healthcare providers
• Successful coordination, team leadership, and service skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including experience analyzing and evaluating effectiveness of marketing and/or program development initiatives
• Knowledge and proficiency with computers, including data processing, spreadsheet and database programs

• Five or more years of oncology nursing experience
• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Certifications in Oncology Nursing
• Experience as an Oncology Nurse Navigator, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or Nurse Practitioner
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to develop collateral on products/services
• Knowledge of tools to communicate and share information with service line leaders and administration, and centralized data reports for viewing and collecting strategic information with internal stakeholders
