Job Summary
The Nurse Care Partner is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients within the hospital setting. This role involves observing and reporting any changes in the patient's condition to the nurse accountable for the patient's care under the direction of a RN. The Nurse Care Partner will communicate with patients, family members, and all members of the healthcare team to relay appropriate information, contributing to patient care and creating a supportive and healing environment.
The primary focus is to promote a positive patient experience by partnering with the nurse, physician, healthcare team, and other healthcare providers to provide excellence in patient experience and assist with daily living activities and comfort measures. The NCP assists other healthcare providers with safe, age-appropriate, and culturally aware care by performing clerical functions such as retrieving data, maintaining unit supplies, and transporting supplies, as well as performing essential patient care functions such as ADLs, ambulation, and vital signs.
The Care Partner must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment, which requires multi‑tasking and effective communication with the Registered Nurse and ancillary team.
