SummaryThe FBI is hiring Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) positions in multiple locations across Field Offices and FBI seeks Registered Nurses (RNs) to fill vital roles to provide health care services in clinics and to support programs that impact the FBI workforce. OHNs ensure medical readiness, promote wellness, and support the FBI Mission.
Key Requirements- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Some travel may be required
- Must verify completion of the basic education requirement by submitting college transcripts by the closing date
- Applicants must have passed the NCLEX and possess an active, current, unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state/territory
- Applicants must be BLS certified and possess an active, current, unexpired BLS certification prior to joining the FBI
- Serve as an OHN in the FBI office of assignment, collaborating with MORU physicians and other health care professionals at FBI Headquarters
- Ensure medical readiness through administration of Fitness for Duty, Medical Mandates, Travel Medicine and Immunization Programs
- Develop strategic health program goals for the occupational health program with MORU direction
- Prepare communications to MORU, division personnel, and division management, including medical case reports, medical readiness reports, medical expenditures, and policy statements
- Provide assessment and nursing care for routine work-related illnesses/injuries and respond to medical emergencies; provide treatment or referrals per FBI policies
- Monitor and record medical exam activities, medication par levels, and monthly medical supply expenditures for MORU reporting; operate autonomously in managing HSO and MORU programs
- Conduct health promotion/education activities within FBI directives, covering health, wellness, travel medicine, nutrition, and disease-specific topics
- Manage Fitness for Duty evaluations and medical surveillance; review work restrictions and OSHA medical screenings under MORU protocols
- Health administration: monitor contract medical facility performance, track FFD expenditures, process invoices timely per policy

- Basic
Education:
A degree/diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the relevant State accrediting agency. Foreign education may be used if comparable to U.S. standards. - You must submit transcripts to document the education requirement. - NCLEX must be passed and RN license active/unrestricted
Specialized Experience (SE): GS-12 requires at least one year of SE equivalent to GS-11. SE includes nursing experience with a focus on occupational health nursing.
