House Supervisor‑RN
Sign‑on bonus available. 7 am‑7 pm. Laurel Heights Hospital, Atlanta, GA, a residential treatment program for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and severe psychiatric and behavioral difficulties. EOE.
Responsibilities- Oversee clinical and administrative operations of the behavioral health nursing team, ensuring high‑quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective interdisciplinary coordination.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direct support to nursing staff, promoting evidence‑based practices and fostering a therapeutic setting.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of psychiatric nurses, technicians, and support staff; schedule staffing, perform rounds, and address staffing or patient care changes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and behavioral health standards.
- Oversee patient care planning, medication administration, and crisis intervention protocols; respond to emergencies and provide clinical guidance during high‑risk situations.
- Conduct performance evaluations, staff training, and professional development initiatives; collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers for integrated care models.
- Monitor documentation accuracy, maintain confidentiality of patient records, and participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and grant compliance.
- Serve as liaison with external agencies and community partners.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; master’s preferred.
- Minimum 2–4 years of nursing experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of behavioral health regulations, trauma‑informed care, and crisis management.
- Strong communication, organizational, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- CPR and other relevant certifications (e.g., CPI, BLS).
- Fast‑paced inpatient or outpatient behavioral health setting.
- Evening/night coverage and weekend rotation required.
- Exposure to emotionally intense situations and psychiatric emergencies.
