Cardiac Inpatient Advanced Heart Failure – Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Piedmont Atlanta
Join the Advanced Heart Failure team at Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) in Atlanta, GA. This full‑time position primarily involves 10‑hour shifts with rotating inpatient and outpatient management of patients with heart failure, LVAD and heart transplant.
OverviewPHI is one of the nation's leading cardiology programs. The Samsky Advanced Heart Failure Center is a top‑10 national LVAD implanting center and Piedmont Heart Institute has one of only two heart transplant programs in Georgia.
Responsibilities- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of Cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.
- Independently manage patients with heart failure in the Samsky Advanced Heart Failure Center.
- Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are delivered.
- Work alongside Physicians and other Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers in a collaborative team.
- This position will largely function on an independent basis; ideal candidates will have experience with limited supervision and work well independently.

- Master's or Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification
- or Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification.
- Qualified candidates will have 3‑5 years of acute care cardiology experience with strong Advanced Heart Failure skillsets (transplant, LVAD care experience) preferred.
