The physician referral nurse is a vital resource for the community and physicians. Nurses act as the healthcare connection or navigator that connects the community to the needed resources offered by Northside Hospital and community partners. The Physician Referral Nurses have ongoing training to remain up to date on a variety of clinical issues.

REQUIRED

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and 4 years of clinical experience

* OR Associate Degree in Nursing with 10 years of nursing experience

* Excellent communication and listening skills.

* Demonstrated assertiveness, coupled with tact and diplomacy.

* Ability to relate well with hospital managers, physicians, and office staff.

* Technical skill in PC based computer systems.

PREFERRED

* Knowledge of Northside Hospital's medical staff and management team.
