OverviewThis RN Clinician, Critical Care Stepdown provides safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing process, performs thorough patient assessments, implements patient care plans, documents care, and serves as a resource for colleagues and advocates for patients and families.
Responsibilities- Deliver safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing process.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and recognize the impact of nursing care on outcomes.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, incorporating patient/family input and adjusting as needed.
- Document care accurately and efficiently in electronic and physical records.
- Identify patient and family learning needs, recommending appropriate resources.
- Recognize cultural differences and individualize care accordingly.
- Delegate using the Synergy Model of Care and support interdisciplinary team collaboration.
- Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and professional development.
- Collect, report, and analyze data to improve patient care and meet organizational standards.
- BSN graduate with 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or equivalent; or ADN graduate with minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience.
- Valid Georgia RN license.
- BLS certification; ACLS may be required.
- Additional certifications as needed.
- Compact/multistate license (eNLC) if required for virtual care activities.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and comply with lifting requirements.
