All God’s Children International is actively seeking a dedicated individual to serve as our Marketing Specialist.

The Marketing Specialist will provide and support critical communications for the organization and serve as a project coordinator for the Marketing Department’s projects and initiatives.

The Marketing Specialist must have exceptional writing skills, a good eye for design, and strong project and time management skills. The ideal candidate must take initiative, prioritize, manage multiple projects, and communicate professionally and compassionately.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Copywriting: Write content; ensure voice, quality of content, and communications are consistent with the organization’s message and voice
  • Event Management: Plan and execute large-scale fundraisers/galas and provide support for additional events, collaborating closely with third-party vendors and the Advancement team to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Website Management: Execute website requests, build pages, and manage edits
  • Uphold Branding: Ensure that brand guidelines are adhered to in all marketing materials
  • Design: Utilize graphic design capabilities to maintain and create supporting documents with programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Email Marketing: Create and track email campaigns; monitor performance metrics and support ongoing optimization
  • Project Management: Juggle projects with competing deadlines from multiple departments
  • Print & Production Coordination
    :
    Coordinate the printing/production of collateral materials
  • Operational Support: Assist the Director of Marketing and support the marketing team with ongoing initiatives; execute day-to-day marketing tasks and coordinate marketing projects and tasks as requested
  • Cross-Department

    Collaboration:

    Work collaboratively with all the departments to coordinate and execute tasks aligned with AGCI’s strategic plan
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Marketing Specialist position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a major in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field; plus, two or more years of related experience in the Marketing Field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication

Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence, reports, and inquiries. Ability to write error-free business correspondence, reports, and presentation materials. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, donors/sponsors, clients, vendors, organization partners, and the general public.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Calculates currency conversion, discounts, and interest, when needed.

Computer and Technical

Skills:

Requires advanced basic computer skills, including logging on to systems, word processing, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, presentation creation/editing, database, the use of the internet, and communication by e-mail. Requires knowledge of and use of Software Systems.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to work with and protect extremely confidential files and information, and have the appropriate discernment regarding handling issues of varying complexity…
