About Introships
Introships helps college students explore real career paths by connecting them with real professionals and real experiences — before they lock into a major or career track. Our unfair advantage is authenticity: alumni and presenters who speak honestly about what they wish they’d known sooner.
This spring, we’re running a lean, alumni-led social media campaign to raise awareness and drive consideration among students and parents.
The RoleWe’re looking for a fractional social media strategist to act as our campaign quarterback
.
This is not a posting or community management role. It’s a hands-on strategy + iteration role for someone who knows how Gen Z content actually works in the wild.
You’ll shape the narrative, define content formats, and help us learn fast what resonates — especially through alumni- and ambassador-led storytelling.
What You’ll Do- Define the campaign narrative and messaging framework
- Develop weekly content prompts and formats for alumni/presenters
- Advise on Tik Tok, Linked In, Instagram Reels, and You Tube Shorts strategy
- Review performance weekly and recommend what to double down on
- Help distinguish messaging for students vs parents
- Collaborate closely with a small internal team and creator ops partner
- Keep things lean, human, and authentic (no over-polish)
- Daily posting or scheduling
- Heavy asset production
- Corporate brand decks
- “Set it and forget it” strategy
- 5–10+ years in social media strategy
- Former experience at Movement Strategy, Sprout Social, Tik Tok, We Are Social, Social Native, or similar — or equivalent hands-on work
- Deep understanding of Gen Z social behavior
- Comfortable working with alumni, ambassadors, or non-influencer creators
- Obsessed with why content works (watch time, saves, comments — not just likes)
- Clear communicator who can move fast and iterate weekly
Bonus if you’ve worked with:
- Education, career, or purpose-driven brands
- Ambassador or community-led programs
- Low-budget, high-creativity campaigns
- Duration: 8–12 weeks (spring campaign)
- Time: ~5–8 hours/week
- Compensation: Competitive, depending on experience
- Location: Remote (US-based preferred)
Send:
- A brief note on your background
- 1–2 examples of campaigns or social work you’ve personally led
- (Optional but great) a short example of how you’d approach an alumni-led social campaign
- We’re especially interested in how you think, not polished portfolios.
