Overview

The Media Planner is responsible for media strategy development, planning/buying and campaign analysis related to multiple online acquisition channels. This position serves as the day-to-day internal team and client contact, with growing cross-functional collaboration with creative and analytics. The role also includes training and mentorship of assistant media planners. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to analyze data, present plans to clients (in writing and verbally), and develop working knowledge of web media processes, terms, publishers, and products.

Mastery of internal planning tools is expected.

Responsibilities
  • Participates with client and internal team to establish media goals, objectives and strategies for advertising campaigns.
  • Studies demographic data and consumer profiles to identify target audiences for online advertising; draws POV from data.
  • Evaluates editorial content and audience composition of media vehicles to determine the best reach to target audiences.
  • Negotiates independently with publishers.
  • Works cross-functionally with creative and analytics.
Client Exposure
  • Contributes to media plan and client presentation.
  • Maintains daily internal team contact and ongoing tactical contact with clients.
Business Operations
  • Completes month-end billing in partnership with the account management team.
  • Emerging expertise across Prisma: executes placements, maintains quality control on placements, handles back-end billing.
Team Leadership
  • Assists in training and mentorship of Media Coordinators.
Agency Leadership
  • Participates in shared learning and collaborates with Sr. Media Planners to develop POVs for the department.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year accredited college or university.

Previous Experience

  • 1+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Milestones
  • Has completed a straightforward media plan independently.
  • Has shown the ability to analyze data and glean relevant insights.
  • Has presented information/plans clearly to clients (in writing and verbally).
  • Has demonstrated emerging relationship skills with clients, internal teams and publishers.
  • Has developed a good working knowledge of web media processes, terms, publishers and products.
  • Has mastered internal planning tools (e.g. Atlas, Double Click).
  • Has demonstrated basic mentoring skills.

Compensation Range: $60,800 - $93,600. The pay range may be adjusted based on skills, qualifications, and experience. This posting may include temporary roles with different eligibility for benefits. The Final date to receive applications is March 2, 2026.
