DescriptionAs the Repair Technician, you will disassemble and evaluate incoming blower, compressors and other Aerzen products, diagnose and recommend action, complete machine repairs, prepare reports and communicate actions as needed.

What You’ll DoCore responsibilities include:
- Safety: Performs all work in accordance with quality standards, established safety procedures and maintains a clean, safe work area.
- Mechanical
Skills:
Utilizes hand tools, power tools, machine rigging and shop equipment safely; demonstrates mechanical proficiency and understanding of rotating equipment. - Equipment Evaluation: Disassembles, assesses damage and evaluates failures on positive displacement blowers, high vacuum blowers, delta hybrid blowers and compressors; provides recommendations for action and parts required.
- Documentation: Reads, understands and uses equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings and other process documentation to disassemble and assemble 3‑lobed PD blowers and vacuum blowers.
- Repair/Assemble Positive Displacement Blowers: Utilizes procedures to assemble PD blowers with a standard rebuild kit.
- Repair/Assemble High Vacuum Blowers: Utilizes procedures to assemble HV blowers with a standard rebuild kit.
- Repair/Assemble Delta Hybrid Blowers: Utilizes procedures to assemble hybrid blowers with a standard rebuild kit.
- Repair/Assemble Compressor: Utilizes procedures to assemble compressors with a standard rebuild kit.
- Reports: Prepares written repair reports documenting cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, and equipment condition.
- Welding: Prior welding experience with brazing, cutting, welding and plasma welding required.
- Field Service: Performs inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or PM service on customer equipment onsite; represents Aerzen professionally and courteously.
- Machine Knowledge: Diagnoses problems by evaluating material condition and customer questioning; identifies root causes of machine failures; offers machine‑based recommendations.
- Training: Trains new team members on essential job functions.
- Department Support: Participates in departmental initiatives such as inventory counts, shop organization and clean‑up.
- Education: High School Diploma (GED) required.
- Experience: 3–5 years related to mechanical, rotating equipment and/or engineering repair.
- Computer
Skills:
Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office and Internet usage. - Other
Skills:
Ability to regularly use a forklift, ladder, hand/power tools, digital equipment, welding equipment, hydraulic equipment, refurbishing equipment, calibrating equipment, measuring tools, and pallet jacks.
