We are seeking a Mechanical Drone Assembler to join our team, working with small drones (3 feet or smaller) designed for military and defense applications. This role requires standing throughout the day and assembling parts and sub-assemblies using small hand tools. You will conduct quality checks to ensure parts are made correctly, following detailed checklists and procedures. This position is bench level production of UAV, payload systems, electrical systems, airframes, and launcher systems.
Responsibilities- Assemble small drones using hand tools.
- Conduct quality checks on parts to ensure proper assembly.
- Follow detailed checklists and procedures to maintain quality standards.
- Work with small parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies with tight tolerances.
- Familiarity with UAV, UAS, drones, and related systems.
- Experience with box builds, RC, MOS codes, and avionics.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Ability to work with calipers, micrometers, and understand FOD.
Skills & Qualifications
- Quality certifications such as TS16949, ISO 9001, AS 9100.
- Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic assembly.
- Military experience and familiarity with electrical systems.
- Experience with optical payloads, weapons systems, and APU maintenance.
- Strong understanding of small parts assembly and tight tolerances.

Work EnvironmentWork in a climate-controlled, relaxed, and clean environment with individual work benches.
ShiftThis position requires flexibility to work either 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, or 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday to Thursday. Each shift includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Overtime is expected.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
